Description
**Sorry, I will be moving starting time to 5:30 due to unreliable connection between oberau to mittenwald either way **
Please get your 9 Euro ticket and take the train as scheduled below,
- RB 6: Muenchen HBF, Platform 27 at 05:32 / Muenchen Pasing, Platform 4 at 05:38) to Oberau (06:43)
- Bus SEV: Oberau (07:00) to Mittenwald (07:41)
** I will take train in Pasing. If you are coming from HBF, we will meet in train **
Return: Either train starting at 16:15 / 17:15. Please note that, I need to be back to Munich mandatorily before 19:30/20:00,m. So, compared to my last hikes, this time, I have to move on incase if you are too slow and you need to come alone or with other members, whoever might be slow. Accept my apologies in advance for such an hurry.
I am not a mountain guide, so please be aware that you join at your own risk.
** Please note distance and elevation compared to your previous hikes. And more over in this area lot of exposed terrain, please prepare for that. **
Good to know
I) hiking shoes, poles & head lamp
iIi) Enough water for the whole day.
iv) Snacks and or food. we will not stop at huts
v) Proper clothes for hiking
vi) A good mood
Going to the mountains, like any other adventure tours, is always risky; sometimes it might be life-threatening! Attendees are advised to read the full description, look into the route details and familiarize themselves to the point that as if they are going to hike by their own.
If there is any unwanted and unfortunate incident happened, they are at this moment informed that they have to pay by themselves if the rescue team needs to be called (average cost 3,000 Euro). We are certainly not official guides, so it is not a guided tour. The organizer is only responsible for taking care of the meeting and sharing the travel cost, nothing else

It's still winter up there. The klettersteig has lots of snow in it.

Is this route has klettersteig? Snow is clear to me as did Steinkarkopf route on Friday (1.4)

This route is not feasible in this time of the year. Your are traversing two faces that may have lot's of snow and ice after the last snow falls + the klettersteig. Not a T3 in these conditions. If you don't have alpine experience, I don't recommend going further than the tunnel (if it is open).

The route is *not* traversing the Klettersteig actually, but the parallel trail under the ridge, on that section.

Hi All, I did several routes before (even last week) in Mittenwald, but not this exact route. As for actual route description didn’t mention any info on klettersteig. I even wrote an message to actual route contributor 2 days back and didn’t get any response. Looking at comments of Anton & Reiter, looks there is some klettersteig. If that is the actual case, I would like to move this hike to Jun and add new hike this Sunday. Question is did any of you done this route before? If yes, based on your feedback, I would like to keep.

That route is not on the Klettersteig. There is a path around the last part of the Klettersteig, that this route is using.
However the descent route (via "Heinrich Noë Steig") is definitely not a T2 in my opinion, at least when there is some snow. With proper well working gear the route should be possible, but care, good decision making, and enough time will be needed. And make sure that the gondola is running.
I would definitely want to have an ice axe, and either really tight fitting spikes or better crampons.
I would suggest reversing the up and down direction of this route, when there is snow, because the ascent is far more critical, whereas going down through the Dammkar with snow should be quite nice

Hi Imre, Sorry, I shifted date already before your comment. Looking at -10 degree weather conditions, I prepare to do it another date. So, I posted another small hike with multi peaks in low altitude.

Dear Friends, This time it is realistic that we will do this hike. As most of you joined very long back, Incase if any of your plans/priorities changed in between, please unjoin at the earliest.
