Description

Meeting time:  Sunday 17th April, 08:10 ; HBf Platform 34

We buy the Bayern group tickets and catch the train towards Holzkirchen - Gaißach at 8:30

Things to bring:

  • Cash/Paypal for the ticket
  • Waterproof hiking boot/ snow shoes
  • spikes (optional)
  • spare socks
  • Passport/Id
  • Food/drinks for the way
  • Raincoat/winter clothes
  • set up .gpx route in gpx viewing app (like openstreetmaps, komoot, GPX viewer etc.)
  • See corona regulations

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event, when it is starting in less than 12 hours.

Disclaimer: Hiking can be dangerous. I am not a mountain guide. Everybody is responsible for her/himself. Make yourself familiar with the route and its requirements. It's recommended to download a map and bring a cell phone and first aid kit for emergencies.

Hi everyone. The max height we are going to is 1330m. As i have not done this hike in the past, i am sure of how much snow it would be there. My prediction is that we should find no snow at the top. But still sometimes predictions can go wrong. Gaiters are not required. But for spikes it would be good to have if we have hard snow near the top.

FYI People who reach HBF early and are already in a group of 5, can buy a Bayern ticket among themselves. This way it would be easy to manage a huge group. You should try to stay close to the person who has the group ticket. This will make it easier for everyone. Some people who finish the hike quickly and are in a group can catch the return train early than the others. This way nobody has to wait for everyone. :)

Guten Tag Ticket is cheaper than Bayern Ticket.
