Good to know

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event, when it is starting in less than 12 hours.

Disclaimer: Hiking can be dangerous. I am not a mountain guide. Everybody is responsible for her/himself. Make yourself familiar with the route and its requirements. It's recommended to download a map and bring a cell phone and first aid kit for emergencies.

we are a big group now - 20 people 😉 so that means people will have different paces and experiences for this hike. please have the gpx file setup on the phone. It could happen that due to time constraints, we have to be quick to peak and come down. Nobody will be left behind and I will try to make sure we regroup.

Hi Lakshaya, I joined another hike on Thursday and application warned me that I will be removed from the list of this hike. I was not removed for some reason, terribly sorry for that, I didn't want to take an extra place, apology for that. Will check more carefully next time

You’ll need to be pretty careful with that descent. The bowl you coming down into keeps the snow pretty late each year and it’s a pretty steep path. 20 is a lot of people in such conditions… Not to mention the weather looks awful…

I haven’t been recently, but there were a number of serious accidents with snowfields last weekend across the Voralpen and I know from experience that the bowl around the Obere and Untere Gaisalpsee tend to keep the snow longer than similar places

I agree that Place can be tricky especially if you go down rather than up and if It Is not dry Like It won't be most probably.

found a video titled "Mit der Drohne über Rubihorn, Gaisalphorn und den Gaisalpsee" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXW32DD4wqg. At 3:33 we can see the descent from Rubihorn to Gaisalpsee. Looks doable but snow can change the difficulty of the terrain. All of the participants who are less experienced with hiking and have fear of heights should reconsider this route.
