Description
Hiking Zugspitze in 2 days through Höllentalklamm (T5 including Via Ferrata)
REQUIREMENTS
- You must be used to difficult hikes. I’m not accepting beginners. If you have no hiking buddies history one week before the event, I will remove your from the participant list.
- You must have experience with Via Ferrata up to Level B/C.
- You must be a DAV member.

HIKING PLAN
DAY 1
7:30 Meeting at platform 27 at Munich Central Station
7:45 We buy Bayern-Ticket.
08:08 Departure for GP
10:37 Arrival to Hammersbach.
The first day will be relaxing and we will nicely hike up to Höllentalangerhütte while enjoying the beauties of nature such as the Höllentalklamm Gorge and waterfalls on the way.
Difficulty Level: T2
Hike Distance Day 1: ~ 5 km
Hike Duration Day 1: ~ 2 - 3 hours
Start altitude: Grainau at 758 m
Max altitude: Höllentallangerhütte at 1,381 m
When we arrive to Höllentallangerhütte, we will have lunch in the Hütte and we can look around the Hütte.
DAY 2
Start in the morning: 7:30
Difficulty Level: T5 C Level Via Verrata on the way
Hike Distance Day 1: ~ 5 km
Hike Duration Day 1: ~ 6 - 7 hours
Start altitude: Höllentallangerhütte at 1,381 m
Max altitude: Zugspitze at 2,962 m
Coming down with Zugspitze cable car.
TOTAL BUDGET
Bayern-Ticket*2 as a group: ~11,60 – 16 €
Hütte: starting at 13 €
Höllenalklamm entrance with DAv membership: 2 €
Cable Car down from Zugspitze: 36 €
Food in the hütte.
That’s at least around 77 €.
MUST BRING
- Via Ferrata Kit: Via Ferrata set, helmet, harness, gloves
- crampons, spikes, hiking boots
- cash, sufficient water, snack and the usual hiking stuff
- sleeping bag for the Hütte

Hi guys, if you can’t get a place to stay in the Höllentalangerhütte, do you still want to hike with us until the Höllentalangerhütte and then you can return the same way without those continuing to Zugspitze? What do you think?

Hi guys, those who signed up, mind the fact that this event includes a C level via ferrata. That mean you have to be trained for via ferrata or you have to be willing to train for C level via ferrata until the event. Moreover, you have to book a place in the Hütte on the way which is now only possible through their waiting list. Please consider these.

Hi guys, :) Again. This event is not for beginners. If your hiking buddies profile is still empty 10 days before the event, I’ll remove you automatically. I get messages like I want to join but I didn’t book in the Hütte and I’ll come back the same day or one day before the via ferrata event, someone realizes that he has no via ferrata set. Such messsages come from people with empty profile. It’s not working this way. This is a group event with a program. if you are not ok with it, please kindly organize your own events. Otherwise, we are causing problems for the group. Hiking Zugspitze needs preparation and discipline. If you are not ready for that and you want to do your own things, please sign off the event now and not last minute.
