Morning, we have 50 mins to 1 hr gap in Garmisch for changing train. We will use this time for breakfast in Garmisch.

Meeting time:  Sunday, 3rd July

Please have your 9 Euro ticket and take the trains like below,

  • RB6: München-Pasing (05:38) / Munich HBF (5:32)  to Oberau (06:43)
  • SEV: Oberau (06:50) to Garmisch-Partenkirchen (07:15)
  • SEV: Garmisch-Partenkirchen (08:05) to Bichlbach-Berwang (08:44) 


In return starting at 17:18 PM 

Things to bring:

  • Cash for food or other expenses
  • Hiking shoes
  • Passport/Id
  • Food/drinks
  • Hiking poles, head lamp, sunglasses
  • Raincoat & hiking clothes
  • Download.gpx file in advance and ready with import to your tracking app/’s. Example gpx viewer
  • First Aid Kit
  • spare socks
  • Most importantly, a good mood 😊

** I am not a mountain guide, so please be aware that you join at your own risk. **

** Route may not be beginner-friendly, expect if you are a regular sports person. Please check distance and elevation **

Good to know

Please unjoin the event well in advance if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event when it is starting in less than 12 hours.

Disclaimer: Going to the mountains, like any other adventure tours, is always risky; sometimes it might be life-threatening! Attendees are advised to read the full description, look into the route details and familiarize themselves to the point that as if they are going to hike by their own. 

If there is any unwanted and unfortunate incident happened, they are at this moment informed that they have to pay by themselves if the rescue team needs to be called (average cost 3,000 Euro). We are certainly not official guides, so it is not a guided tour. The organizer is only responsible for taking care of the meeting and sharing the travel cost, nothing else

Dear Friends, if anyone have a doubt in taking part of the hike on that day, please unjoin in advance. So that, people really clear on their planning will be able to join in advance rather waiting in waitlist without clarity.

Dear Friends, as of latest weather forecast, I see a rain more than 2 mm. Which is not good day for this mountain. So, I am checking another possible route for tomorrow with light rain. This route (event), I postpone to another day. For me it is easy to discuss over whatsapp group rather long discussion over comments. So, I kindly request, whoever is fully mentally ready for hike tomorrow, please join the whatsapp group. We will further discuss the topic there.

As wrote in last comment, due to moderate rain in this area, moving the event to next Sunday. For 29.05, I will create event later today.

Hi Kesav, it seems that the train is cancelled. First train 0732 -> 1044 according to bahn.de.
