Description

Hi Guys! On its third consecutive year of this event, we are planning to do the orginal route that was created and ran last 2020. This is a big DIY group run for Trail runners who runs at different distances, paces and styles. From Short to the Ultra distance loving trail runners who are looking for some training as a tune up run for a big race or for some who are just looking to experience Trail running in the mountains with other like minded people. The whole route is 67 km long that can be run on shorter segments with frequent Huts along the way for refilling and replenishments. There is an exit point in every Valley that leads to a Bus stop that will take you to a BRB Train going back to Munich. The whole route deconstructed and properly explained:

Fischhausen-Neuhaus to Spitzingsattel: 12.7km with 1170 meters of ascent and 819 meters of descent.

Fischhausen-Neuhaus to Enterrotach: 21.3km with 1702 meters of ascent and 1543 meters of descent. ( another Bus option is the Bus Stop at Wallberg Cablecar station which has an additional 6km of flat running )

Fischhausen-Neuhaus to Kreuth: 32,8km with 2258 meters of ascent and 2275 meters of descent.

Fischhausen-Neuhaus to Bad Wiessee: 46,4km with 3099 meters of ascent and 3136 meters of descent. ( Do not take the sign that will lead you to Aueralm and just run towards the town of Bad Wiessee. additional 1.6km to get to the town proper at the nearest Bus Stop. )

Fischhausen-Neuhaus to Lenggries: 62,2km with 3814 meters of ascent and 3915 meters of descent. At the 57th km, follow the signs going to Lenggries  ( about 5,1km of flat running distance ) because the route goes up to Lenggrieser Hut at this point.

Fischhausen-Neuhaus to Lenggries: 67km with 4277 meters of ascent and 4380 meters of descent.

A total of 6 distances. We leave the Train station in Munich and start at the same time all together. You should have some good Trail Running experience if you are considering to tackle the longer distances as this is not a hike. It is highly suggested to run with people with the same intended distance or pace. For the ones who will tackle the longer distances and going to push, be mindful that this is not a race so plan well and accordingly. Bring the necessary gears and enough food for intended distances. You could be running in the dark eventually and finishing in the dark as well with no immediate assistance from anyone. The Huts have different opening and closing times. Again, this is not a race. It's a group DIY Trail Run.

Equipment suggestion:

Trail running shoes, trail running backpack or similar, waterproof and breathable lightweight jacket, enough water and food to cover your intended distances ( even though there are huts along the course, it is highly advisable to bring enough food rations for your run ), first aid kit and emergency blanket, fully charged headlamp with spare batteries, Charged mobile phone ( Powerbank is optional ), enough money, ID, and some kind of mountain/rescue insurance as well.

Load the gpx file onto a navigation app. Familiarize yourself with the route. You should be able to follow the route by yourself because groups might split up depending on the intended pace.

Note:

This is a long distance trail run. We'll be hiking the uphills and running the flats and downhills.

I am not a guide, This is not a guided tour. You are responsible for yourself.

This is a group trail run intended for persons/groups who runs on different distances. THIS IS NOT A RACE.

I would love to join again, but unfortunately this overlaps with the Chiemgauer100 race that I'm running on 29th and 30th of July. :(
