General information

Description: As you may know, the Leimbach walk has a hut on the way, called Teehütte Fallätsche (Teehüsli), which open only on Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm. They sell very few things, but the prices are amazingly cheap (tea = 1 CHF) and the place is very cosy. On the way down, we will stop there for 30 mn to 1h.

Starting time: 09h15 precisely. We will not wait for latecomers.

Weather: Cloudy. The rain should start early afternoon which gives us enough time for a dry walk.

Route: Mostly in the woods, some steep parts, but nothing exposed. A good alternative to Uetliberg. There might be a few spontaneous changes compared to the shown route.

Pace / fitness level: Open to everyone, it's short.

Transportation: Everyone goes to the meeting point on their own (I'm coming by bike).

Schedule

45 minutes up, 1h at the hut, 30 mn down.

Gear

No mandatory gear. Shoes with good grip recommended.

Important rules about Hiking Buddies

• You have until 12 hours before the start of the event to drop out from the hike.
• Participants not showing up will get a "NO-SHOW" flag on their profile, which decreases significantly your chances to be accepted on future hikes.
• The organizer is no professional guide, participants must be responsible for themselves (and that means to do some research about the routes and its potential dangers / tricky sections to know if you have the experience for it).
• Not a rule, but on your profile, ideally, add a picture of you and select the country you're from (not the one you're living in), to show how international the group is. :)
