Timeline:
10:17 - arrive at Schynige Platte
10:20 - start hike
probably stop at the hut for eating, but please bring snacks since the timing might be a little weird for lunch
3:30 - arrive at Bachalpsee (break)
4:00 - hike towards Grindelwald First
5:30 - arrive at Grindelwald First
Public transport back to Zurich
Public Transport:
We will be taking public transit to Schynige Platte from Zurich HB departing at 7:02 and arriving at 10:17. Feel free to message me to join on the journey!
Weather:
Depending on the weather, we might do this hike on Sunday instead of Monday, but as it looks now, Monday is the safer bet.
Who is this hike for:
Someone who has done this length of hiking before, but no requirements otherwise. I hike relatively slow and I'll be carrying some camera equipment. I'm sure if we have different paces, we can buddy up and meet as a group at Bachalpsee. :)
Updated: This is a point to point trail. If you are able to hike fast enough and start early enough, the hike can be done as an out and back from Schynige Platte just to Bachalpsee. What we will be doing is hiking from Schynige Platte to Bachalpsee and finish in Grindelwald First then take the Gondala down from there.

Hello! I am definitely going to hike tomorrow in the region, but depending on the weather, we might do a shorter hike. So, what you can do is buy the ticket to Interlaken Ost and tomorrow we can look where exactly we want to go if the weather is bad. I'll be taking the 7:02 train from Zurich HB.

Just in case you missed my message, I will going either way, the weather in the morning looks good enough. I would buy a train ticket to Interlaken Ost in advanced and then decide tomorrow if it still looks good enough to do this hike. But will be hiking for sure!
