Description

The hike from Brunni to the Grossen Mythen is a hiking classic in Canton Schwyz.


The T3 hiking trail from Holzegg station exists since 1864 and leads over 47 numbered hairpin bends to the 1,898 m summit. Sure-footedness and a head for heights are indispensable on this section. However, tricky passages are very well secured. The descent back to Holzegg and the Alptal to Brunni is on the same route.


General information

Route: T3 sections. Very popular route that just re-opened for the hiking season, well maintained with steel cables if needed.

Pace: Only walking, but you must have a good fitness level. We will cover 800 m elevation.

Transportation: Train. See schedule below.
