Description

Hi guys,

I am planning to do the Alpspitz via ferrata and Mathaisenkar via ferrata during this tour.

We will leave Munich (from Neuperlach Süd S/U Bahn station) by car at 6:35. The ride takes roughly 1.5h and the cable car Alpspitz starts in the morning at 08:30. Since this tour is very crowded sometimes (especially with good weather during weekends), we will take the first cable car going up. I have booked a car share, the cost will be split between all participants (should be around 100€ in total, 25 p.P). You will also need to buy a ticket for the cable car, which costs 19€.

The Alpspitz via ferrata has a B rating, the Mathaisenkar a B/C rating. We will do the Alpspitz in ascent and the Mathaisenkar in descent. On the return we will pass through Höllental. Its a very beautiful valley.

We can stop for a break at Höllentalangerhütte.

In total this tour has 800hm ascent, 2000hm descent, 13km distance, and roughly 7h moving time. You should know how to handle a via ferrata set. To bring the equipment is obviously mandatory (harness/via ferrata set/helmet/gloves/proper shoes).

Cheers,

Nils
