Description

Meeting Point:  Munich Pasing  at Platform 4 (or even directly in train, if you are taking from Munich Central Station).

Please get your 9 Euro ticket and take the train as scheduled below,

  • RB 6 (59447): München-Pasing (Platform.4 at 06:38) to Garmisch-Partenkirchen (07:54)
  • Zugspitzbahn: Garmisch-Partenkirchen (08:15) to Hammersbach (08:27)

**Deviation from GPS: I prepare to go above höllentalklamm, instead of inside. Because, it is too many visits already. Going above will get 100m extra elevation**

Things to bring:

  • Hiking shoes
  • via ferrata kit (optional, There is some part, which might be helpfull if you have fear of hights.)
  • Passport/Id
  • Food/drinks for the whole day
  • Hiking poles, head lamp, sunglasses
  • Raincoat & hiking clothes
  • Download.gpx file in advance and ready with import to your tracking app/’s. Example gpx viewer
  • First Aid Kit
  • spare socks and dress incase of rain
  • Most importantly, a good mood 😊

** I am not a mountain guide, so please be aware that you join at your own risk. **

** Some parts of the route are quite challenging due to different surfaces. No beginner.**

** Currently, I am keeping group size too small as it is a very long distance hike with more elevation. Incase, if anyone else interested, who are already in my previous hikes, please drop me a message, I will increase group size accordingly.**

Good to know

Please unjoin the event well in advance if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event when it is starting in less than 12 hours.

Disclaimer: Going to the mountains, like any other adventure tours, is always risky; sometimes it might be life-threatening! Attendees are advised to read the full description, look into the route details and familiarize themselves to the point that as if they are going to hike by their own.

If there is any unwanted and unfortunate incident happened, they are at this moment informed that they have to pay by themselves if the rescue team needs to be called (average cost 3,000 Euro). We are certainly not official guides, so it is not a guided tour. The organizer is only responsible for taking care of the meeting and sharing the travel cost, nothing else

FYI, the train line beyond Oberau is still closed, so it will be a bus replacement (SEV) from Oberau to Garmisch, which may affect the connection to the Zugspitzbahn. Also, there is the G7 summit this weekend, so I would expect chaos in terms of changes to the regular schedule...
