Carpool: If you have a car, please add it to the carpool, if you don't have a car you can join one of the existing cars in the carpool. If there is no convenient car for you, you can join waiting list and you will be notified when a car is added to the carpool.

It is for sure not the most famous mountain in the area but it offers a lot in terms of views to all the valleys and mountains around plus it is very various, not overrun and you get high chances to see marmots, ibexes and other wildlife plus a big variety of wild rare flowers!

From the parking you go straight to the paved road over the Jochbachtalbrücke and in 2 hairpin bends to the Pretterhof. After about half an hour, a marked path branches off to the left in the direction of Kanzbergrücken / Hornbachjoch / Jochspitze, which then initially leads up through dense forest. As soon as the actual ridge is reached, the mighty panorama of the Hornbach chain opens up in the south and the actual goal of the day is visible plus the beautiful pyramid of Hochvogel.

Now climb first on a wide hiking trail across the meadows to the forest to the broad Kanzberg ridge where in a south-westerly direction, the marked trail takes us a little more comfortably through light mountain pines and beautiful flower meadows to the unmanaged Kanzberghütte. After a short break, it is only a few meters from the hut to the highest point of the Kanzberg. Now we usually always walk directly on the ridge height, where we have to descend a few meters. This is how it goes until just before the Karlesspitze. Now the trail leads us past the steep southern slopes of the Karlespitze. The path becomes easier again and we climb directly to the top of the ridge to the summit of the Jochspitze, that is finally reached without difficulty via the east flank. Imposing peaks very close by are the Großer Wilde, the Hochvogel, Höfats and Hornbachkette and many others. After enjoying this view we head down to Hinternhornbach through the beautiful path of wild and lonely Jochbachtalweg/Panoramaweg flanking river and waterfalls till the parking. Once there we go eat or drink something together before going back to Munich.
