Description

NOT FOR BEGINNERS

Please Join only if you have already done Multiple Via ferratas (minimum Level B)

I dont want to be rude, but also safety matters... Hope you guys Understand :) :D  .... So, People who have joined the Hiking buddies comunity newly and have done Via Ferratas in the past which are not listed on their Hiking Buddies Profile kindly write me a Message on Whatsapp +49 17661214709 (With the Via Ferratas you have done and their difficulty Levels) before you Join the Hike.

I am mainly looking for fit Hikers with Via ferrata experience who can take care of themselves on the Via Ferrata route.

I am a frequent hiker. Many of my Hikes are not listed on my Profile. I have done multiple Via Ferratas Grade B and 1 Via Ferrata Grade C

To bring along

  1. Good Hiking shoes (Preferably Shoes with Grade C)
  2. Via Ferrata Set (MUST) (KS Set, Harness, Helmet, gloves and rest sling)
  3. Suitable clothes (Rain Jacket just in case)
  4. Earlier Via Ferrata experience (should have done Via Ferratas with minimum difficulty Level of grade B)
  5. Good fitness
  6. DAV Membership (must)
  7. Snacks and sufficient water.
  8. Cash for the fuel, snacks and drinks.
  9. sufficiently charged mobile phones
  10. Last and most important:- Good mood and openness :))
  11. Team Player and Willingness to help others :).

We will take the cable car to the Via Ferrata Starting point (link below). The Via Ferrata has 3 sections out of which 2 are open The third one is closed but we can still reach the peak through an alternate normal hikable rout. There are in total 4 B/C and C section in the first part which needs some technique. The starting of the 2nd Part is a little tricky with the level graded B/C or C (look at the topo in the link below).

I will be able to calculate the fuel cost after knowing the number of people who join.

Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event, when it is starting in less than 12 hours.

Disclaimer: Hiking can be dangerous. I am not a mountain guide. Everybody is responsible for her/himself. Make yourself familiar with the route and its requirements. It's recommended to download a map and bring a cell phone and first aid kit for emergencies.

Hi Praveen, just fyi, we did Salewa (now called Edelrid) two weeks ago, few things to know, as I wanted to update the route and description but could not because of a bug - The hike up to the Via Ferrata is much longer than 20 minutes, at least from the parking place, with a good pace uphill it took us >1h - There is quite a lot of downhill Via Ferrata in this one, very fun but might not be the taste for everyone - There are missing cable wires at the end, so some small parts are scrambling - The first part of descent (abstieg) from the Ferrata is more like T4 and not T2, clear path, but exposed and use of hands needed from time to time, sometimes with wire cable (no need for the set, though) - Apart from that super fun and cool Ferrata! Hope you'll have fun !
