Most of the route is actually T2. There is a ferry transit from Saletalm to St. Bartholoma which is shown as T4 on the map. A small section to reach the Watzmann Eiskapelle is T3.
We will take the train from Munich HBF at 6:45
Ferry ticket price- 26 euros. Always good to bring cash.
The ferry takes an hour one way and departs every 30mins. We will take the ferry to get back to return from St. Bartholomä at around 17:30.
We will start the hike from the last Ferry stop Salet Alm. Then go to the Highest Waterfall in Germany- Röthbachfall. Afterward, we will come back to Saletalm and take the ferry to St. Bartholomä and start hiking towards Watzmann Eiskapelle. The last small section to reach the Eiskapelle becomes T3, so being sure-footed would be absolutely necessary.
The distance is almost 15km (excluding ferry transits), elevation is about 520m. We will try to make it under 4.5-5 hours. So make sure you understand the requirements and you are fit for the pace.
