Meeting time:  Saturday, 2nd July at 07:45 am

Meeting Point:  Munich Central train station (Hbf): Platform 28

(Note: Going up, the route is T2 and coming down T1. It is supposed to be sunny 23°C and a partially cloudy in the evening

The schedule is as follows

  • RB66: München-Hbf (07:59) to Kochel (09:08)
  • Bus 9608: Kochel (09:18) to Herzogstandbahn (09:39)

Things to bring:

  • GOOD MOOD (Very important!!!!)
  • 9 Euro ticket 
  • Decent Hiking shoes
  • ID (Ausweis)
  • Food/drinks for the day
  • Water to keep yourself hydrated
  • Sunglasses/ Hat
  • Download.gpx file in your tracking apps like gpx viewer/ Komoot
  • First Aid Kit

** Route may not be beginner-friendly, except if you are a regular sports person. Please check distance and elevation **

Good to know

Please unjoin the event well in advance if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event when it is starting in less than 12 hours.

Disclaimer: Going to the mountains, like any other adventure tours, is always risky; sometimes it might be life-threatening! Attendees are advised to read the full description, look into the route details and familiarize themselves to the point that as if they are going to hike by their own. 

If there is any unwanted and unfortunate incident happened, they are at this moment informed that they have to pay by themselves if the rescue team needs to be called (average cost 3,000 Euro). We are certainly not official guides, so it is not a guided tour. The organizer is only responsible for taking care of the meeting and sharing the travel cost, nothing else

@Tauseef - Can you please tell me the timings of the train from Munich? Also train towatds what?I am coming from Erlangen..hence will reach at 7.58am in Munich.

hi Tauseef Are you sure this is a T2 because last time I did Herzogstand it was a T3, it was a really steep route not for beginners many left inbetween, maybe we went by a different route hence wanted to check with you.

@Tauseef I was thinking to hike exactly the same route myself. What a coincidence! Unfortunately, the event is already full. Maybe will see you all on the way.

Hi Tauseef, I was in the waiting position and just got the notification that I came to main list. But already planned something and can't unjoin now also. I would like to inform you that I'll not be able to participate in tomorrow's hike.
