It should be great weather this weekend so let's go to Hoher Kranzberg, starting from the lovely town of Mittenwald!

Technical difficulty: The hike is suitable for beginners and shouldn't be strenuous, but a fairly good level of fitness is always recommended for mountain hikes!

Details: 

6.55am: Meet, buy Bayern Ticket (approx cost 10-15 euros, please bring cash)

7:13: Train to Garmisch-Partenkirchen

8:34: Bus from Garmisch - Mittenwald, arriving in Mittenwald at 9:05

Regular connections back from Mittenwald to Munich ~every hour.

I would guess we would probably get the return bus/train at 15:57 (arriving in Munich at 17:47) or 16:55 (arriving at 18:47), depending on the speed of the group.

Lunch: I'm not sure if there are any huts along the way, or if they are open, so please bring enough food and drink for the whole day. 

Things to bring:

• Waterproof hiking boots (I expect some snow along the way)
• Cash for the train ticket (10-15 Euro)
• Food/drinks for the whole day (inc. at least 2L water)
• Charged mobile phone

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event, when it is starting in less than 12 hours.
