Let's explore the Rätikon range together through two exciting via ferrate in a (long) day tour!

We start with Sulzfluh VF that will leads us to the summit it's named after & one of the 10 highest peaks of the Rätikon at 2817m and exactly at the Swiss/Austrian border .. we then descend to our next VF, that features not only fascinating views but also climbing ca. 350m through a cave!! 

This is somewhat of an intense tour, as it would take about 9-10hrs moving time! Please read the description carefully before you sign up.  

Via ferrata climbing times: ca. 2.5hrs Sulzfluh + 1.5hrs Gauablickhöhle  

Hiking times: ca. 1.5 hrs ascent to Sulzfluh + 1.25hr descent to Gauablickhöhle + 2.5hrs descent to the starting point  

We can make a stop at the Tilisunahütte on our descent back to the starting point.  

I plan to hike on a moderate pace so around 400-450hm/hr

Gauablickhöhle (K3):

while Gauablickhöhle is rated K3 and beginner-friendly.. Sulzfluh is NOT. It is rated K4/5, with exposed and overhanging sections. 

Hiking terrain is up to T4+ 

What you need to bring: 

- via ferrata gear (helmet, harness, set)

- headlamp (mandatory for the cave traverse!)

- proper mountains footwear

- ID (just in case, as we will be crossing to Austria)

- enough water and snacks for the day

- sunscreen and protection

- good vibes :)
