Description

Hike from Wasserauen -> Altenalp -> Schäfler -> Ebenalp -> Emeritenhöhle -> Wasserauen

Optional swim in Seealpsee after the hike if people are still capable.

We are going to stop for pictures. However, the hike up to Altenalp is going to be as fast as possible since it will get crowded during the day.

We are going to stay at one of the huts on top of the ridge for food and a drink if desired.

I will check your hiking experience prior to this event. If you do not have at least one or two T3 hikes in your profile, you will probably not be able to join. The T4-part is expected to be demanding. We will make sure that everyone joining makes it. If someone cannot continue, we will turn around. Therefore, only sign up if you are sure you will be able to do the hike!

I am no mountain guide. Therefore, you will need to inform yourself about the difficulty of the hike. For example on the homepage of the SAC. Here (in German): Wanderskala SAC (sac-cas.ch). The hike is rated as T4.

We will start to hike 08:30 the latest (waiting 10 minutes for people being late). Everyone arriving after that will not be able to join the hike.


Good to know

Hiking boots and hiking poles mandatory! 

Take enough water and snacks for the hike.

Sun screen and cover for your head is strongly recommended. It is going to be a warm day according to the weather forecast.

Sun glasses can be beneficial as well.

Take swimming clothes and a light towel for an eventual swim after the hike. (optional)
