Description

Hello there :)

For a Jubilee of my own that i decided to spend in the mountains i am going this weekend to the famous Jubi ridge between the peaks of Zugspitze and Alpspitze.

The Jubiläumsgrat is NOT a via ferrata.

Alpine experience, no fear of exposure and stamina for many hours of concentration in very steep technical terrain.

This is a proper T6 alpine tour with scrambling up to 3-  of the UIAA scale. With elevation gain of over 2350m this tour requires excellent endurance and good overall fitness level, as well as absolute surefootedness as well lots of experience climbing mountains.

The hike will be done from Ehrwald bf > Zugspitze > Alpspitze > Garmisch Hbf.
It will be done in two days, 17th>18th.
I plan to spend the night at the Biwakschachtel since i want to have the experience of waking up on that ridge.

The only people i am comfortable going there with are people with several hikes under their belt of difficulty T6/UIAA 2.

Before joining message me.

Good to know

We are meeting up at München Hbf at 7:20 am this Sunday. From there we are taking the train to Ehrwald where we should arrive at 10:30 and start to climb Zugspitze via the Stopselzieher route. I expect us to be at the peak between 3 and 4pm.
On the peak of Zugspitze, we are gonna make a break where we can refill our water bags, eat and rest a bit as we have about 4-5 hours of the ridge ahead of us until we reach the refuge.  There we spend the night and once we wake up we continue to go towards Alpspitze. From there we go down all the way to Garmisch Hbf on foot.
When we will arrive there is left open, as well as the time we are back in Munich.
