Let's take the shortest circular tour to the Zugspitze together!

We will reach the Tyroler Zugspitzbahn cable car station by car and climb the Bayernsteig and the Riffelschartensteig to join the glacier crossing and the Höllentaler Klettersteig (B/C) to the summit of the Zugspitze.

The descent will be via the Stopsehlziehr Klettersteig (A/B) and some steep gravel fields.

Alpine experience and proper gear are required for this tour.

Disclaimer: I am not a mountain guide. Everyone is responsible for their own safety.


We will meet at 6 am at Solln S-bahn and drive to the Tyroler Zugspitzbahn cable car station. We will start hiking around 7:30 am. I expect the hike to take around 12 hours, including breaks.


Please bring:

- Enough food and water for the whole day (we might not have much time to stop at Münchner Haus or Wiener-Neustädte-Hütte).

- Sunscreen and sunglasses.

- Klettersteig set, helmet, gloves and, if possible, crampons (Steigeiser, no Grödel) and ice axe.

- Good hiking shoes.

- Appropriate clothing.

- The rest you should know.


Please restrain from joining if you have never hiked on a T4+ path before. If you do have experience but it is not recorded anywhere, please contact me before joining the event.
