Meeting Point:  Munich HBF (München Hbf Gl.27-36). 

Take train RE 76 on 13.08 from München-HBF (at 07:20) to Oberstdorf (at 09:40) 

Return on 15.08, from Oberstdorf to Pasing: 17:39 - 19:57   /     18:23 - 20:32


Things to bring:

  • Most importantly cash as cards are not accepted in mountains for all type of payments like stay, food and drinks
  • Hüttenschlafsack
  • Hüttenhausschuhe (Light weight Slippers), Handtuch (mikrofaser badetuch), Ohrstöpsel (Earbuds)
  • Hiking shoes
  • Passport/Id
  • Food and Water for day-1.
  • Sufficient snacks/mini food for complete 3 day hike
  • Hiking poles, head lamp, sunglasses, Raincoat & Hiking bag with rain cover
  • Sufficient clothes & Socks for 3 days
  • Spikes (On day-3 route, there is a mini glacier)
  • Klettersteigset (Optional based on your comfort with Klettersteig A/B)
  • First Aid Kit
  • Download.gpx file in advance and ready with import to your tracking app/’s. Example gpx viewer

Day-1:

Route: Oberstdorf --> Nebelhorn --> Edmund-Probst-Haus --> Seealpsee --> Edmund-Probst-Haus

  • Nebelhorn is optional for who want to avoid T6 part. You can stay at hut or head to Seealpsee for swimming
  • Seealpsee is a lake, option for swimming

Night stay at Edmund-Probst-Haus. Refer https://www.edmund-probst-haus.de/

Facilities:

  • Hot water to take bath, 3 euros for 3 mins (Please carry change)
  • Cost for single night stay, (Booked lager places already)

Route: Edmund-Probst-Haus --> Freibergsee --> Rappenseehütte

  • Total distance: nearly 25 KM. If we want to reduce the distance, we will take bus from Oberstdorf to Birgsau Eschbach (9 KM plus). In this case, we can complete day-2 route within 15 KM and need to skip Freibergsee

Imp: Incase if you feel, day-3 route is difficult for you, then let me know in advance, there are many beautiful routes in this area.

Note: Both huts (Edmund-Probst-Haus & Rappenseehütte) can only be booked via https://huetten-holiday.com, which charges service fee too. I reserved 10 places in each hut. For each booking an average payment of 11.25 Euro. This means 10 euros will be considered as part o hut payment and 1.25 euro as service charge by the website. 


So, I kindly request to transfer 22.5 Euro each person for both huts together.
