Hey everyone,
Let´s do the 5 Gipfel Klettersteig on sunday.
To avoid the big traffic jams I want to start quite early, which eamns leaving at 7:15 at Harras/Meeting at 8:45 at the Rofanseilbahn Cable Car Station.
This is a D via-ferrata, please only joins if you have already done a via-ferrata in the similar level or are well cable of doing such a via-ferrata. In any case all the via-ferratas can be avoided by alternative hiking routes.
Full via-ferrata set including helmet is a MUST for this route. Via-Ferrata gloves are highly recommended.
Here you can find the description of the via-ferrata.
https://www.bergsteigen.com/touren/klettersteig/achensee-5-gipfel-klettersteig/
Please bring the following:
- Via-Ferrata gear incl. helmet & gloves
- Proper Hiking boots (Waterproof)
- Cash for gas (or Mobile Phone + a Paypal Account)
- Proper rain jacket
- Charged mobile phone (for emergency calls)
- Something to drink & eat to survive (though there are huts along the way I recommend at least 2 Liters of water)
- Hiking/Trekking Poles (recommended)
- First Aid Kit (highly recommended)
- Headlight (Recommended, just in any case)
The temperatures are not supposed to be that high, though some of us might want to jump into the Achensee afterwards, so swimming gear is also optional to bring.
7:15 is the meeting time at Harras. We should reach the start of the hike at around 8:45.
I
have a car with Maximum 7 seats but I would only occupy 4-5 seats. More
drivers are happy to join but I would keep the group size to max 10
ppl.
Best,
Benny
