Hey everyone, I'm planning to do a nice and easy hike around Garmisch again this Sunday, as the weather forecast looks great. We'll be checking out the Werdenfels castle ruins along a very picturesque route. Please check out the detailed route here before joining.


Good to know
Please read before joining :
  • We'll be taking the train from Munich Hbf platform 27-36 at 8:32am. Please be there on time. The train takes around 1 hour 45 minutes.
  • The hike will take around 3,5 hours though the intention is to complete at a relaxed pace and not rush through it. We'll also probably stop for lunch somewhere in between. We should be back in Munich around 5-6pm. 
  • Please wear hiking boots if you have them and bring enough water. I've not been on this route before and I'm not a tour guide. You are responsible for yourself at all times.
  • The group always sticks together, so the group has to keep up with the slowest person. If you don't like this rule, please do not join. If you think you're too slow and are an absolute beginner with no prior hiking experience, probably this hike is not for you either.

Also, please note that I DO mark no-shows. So if you register and do not show up for a hike, you'll be banned from all future hikes.

Hi everyone. Thanks for joining. The situation with the train isn’t quite certain yet. I’ll keep monitoring and let you know. In case the train doesn’t run on time, we might have to cancel. Hope it works. See you all soon.

Hey everyone. The train is gonna be packed soon. We’ll try to board at 8:20. If you don’t meet the group, we can catch up at Murnau. I’ll update where we’re located in the train soon.
