Hi,

taking the opportunity of the holiday in Bavaria (Good Friday) and hopefully good weather (as far as I can see) I wanted to go up Herzogstand, stopping at Herzogstandhaus on the way down, maybe detouring to Martinskopf as well depending on the group, the path and time.

Yes, there will be snow on the way, but the path up to the Herzogstandhaus should be reasonably clear

Should the weather forecast change dramatically, I will warn you or/and cancel the event. At the moment we have around 12° and sun in the valley for Friday

Good to know

Waterproof hiking boots are necessary
Gaiters are highly recommended
Spikes are recommended

In case you don't feel well on the snow, there is a possibility to stay at Herzogstandhaus and wait for the rest.

Please note that the train-bus connections are not that frequent - we will try the last 'good' bus connection @17:15, else we have another connection with significantly longer waiting time @18:30
