Pleasant and beautiful hike (T4) from Brent Alm in Ehrwald via Hoher Gang with no scrambling, the path is steep and secured with steel cables. We will reach Seebensee and continue further, up to Coburger Hütte, next to Drachensee (see photo, hut in the upper right corner).
After a break at Coburger Hütte (1917m), we continue uphill to Tajatörl (2260m) for a lunch break and hike around Tajaköpfe to descent back to Brent-Alm with a total hiking time of 6:30 and 13 kilometers, returning to the parking around 18:00.
This is a very suitable tour if you are a beginner and would like to move into a more challenging environment (T4 level above 2000 meters and more) or if you are just in for all the beautiful photos one can take up here.
Standard mountain hiking equipment is necessary but at lunchtime (noon) we might not be around a hut, depending on the hiking speed of the group, so better bring your own lunch and enough water. A certain surefootness is required for Hoher Gang.
You should be able to do at least 400 hm per hour, contact me if you are in doubt.
To reach the Ehrwald Cable Station near Brentalm, carpooling is recommended but public transport by train is also possible. From Munich Main Station, take the RB6 to Murnau, departing 6:32. For further details, check out www.bahn.de
