One of the most beautiful panoramas in Switzerland, with the views of Brienzersee and the legendary mountains in Jungfrau Region behind, walking nearby the very popular train till ca. 2300m high Brienzer Rothorn. 

This is only for fit people who have already done 1500m+ height difference hikes before.

It is a carpool meeting. We park at "Parking bei der Kirche, Schleegasse 1, 3855 Brienz" and start walking at 8:15. We go on a moderate pace with enough pauses. After 5hours going up we should be on the top. There we will chill as long as we will like (between 1 to 2 hours I would say). If you have plans in the evening or do not like to adapt you better not come. Then we go down and will be back in Zurich in the evening.

Technical difficulty: The hike has difficulty T2. Please read the blog to understand the requirements for sac scale T2. I expect you are fit and have already done 1500m+ height difference hikes before.

Things to bring:

Waterproof hiking boots

Cash for the car ride (20 CHF), parking (?), for the food,...

enough food/drinks for the way

Warm clothes

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event, when it is starting in less than 24 hours.
