Description
Lets go to Montscheinspitze from Eng and hopefully enjoy views until Achensee and beyond.
Participation criteria: Visible experience with T4 hikes and a comfortable 400hm-h pace.
I kindly ask you to join only if you are confident with the pace!
We will do a stop at a hut on the way down (plan B: in Lengries)
Please join only if you seriously plan to come.
Please be punctual else you may not be on the Bayern Ticket.
Good to know
Things to pack:
- DAV membership or similar
- ID, we cross countries
- Cash for Bayern ticket + bus + hut (no paypal)
- Food/drinks for the whole day
- First aid kit
- Head lamp
- Rain/sun protection and warm clothes
I am aware that the weather forecast is not good for Saturday. I hope it changes until then, else I will modify/cancel the hike.

Hi Ioannis, I don't have DAV membership, is it compulsory to have it to join the hike?

DAV or any other helicopter/mountain insurance is compulsory. FYI the usual public insurances or travel insurances dont cover that. If you plan to hike, esp. T4 hikes and above, I strongly recommend you do one.

Hey Ioannis, it said that you sent me a message prior to blocking me from the event. Where do I find that message? I have plenty of hiking experience and have done much harder hikes than this one, it's just my first one with HB.

Dear All, I see everyone is still here and on top a lot of new joiners. That is great in the first place :) I am wondering though, have you checked the weather and still wanna do the hike ? I agree that Saturday doesn't seem to make sense. I'm also not available next weekend. Obviously, just go ahead and change the date if it suits. I'll cancel in that case...

With snow above 1500 metres it would be a bit risky at the climbing spots at Montscheinspitze ridge. Unfortunately I can’t say now if I’m free next weekend.
