The hike

We take the cable car in Beckenried to Klewenalp at 8:45am (10 minutes)
Return ticket for adults 40 chf
GA and Halb-Tax card valid.

We start at 8:55am from Klewenalp (1600m) in direction of Röthen, then Stafel, then Hinder Jochli, and then the top Schwalmis (2246m)

The ascent of 650m lasts about 6 km - at slow pace we should be at the top around 12pm for lunch. Bring your own lunch.

The descent will go through Vorder Jochli and then exposed path for about 1km.

Then we arrive in Wandeli, then Twäregg and then Klewenhütte

We finish the hike in Klewenalp and we go down with the cablecar.

General information

Transportation
Laurence and I will be going by car we can pick-up 4 people in Berikon-Widen, AG - meeting time: 7:30am, or in Birmensdorf, ZH - meeting time: 7:40am

Otherwise I have indicated how to come by train from Zurich HB.

Pace
This is a slow pace hike.
(Slow Pace means 300/350m ascent per hour ; 1km in 30min)

Weather
Forecast is rainy - so we might have to cancel the hike if the weather forecast gets worse.

You Must Have
Proper hiking boots with a good grip, headlamp, warm clothes, rain protection / sun screen, at least 1,5L of water, and food for lunch and snacks along the way.

We might get snow on the way, so make sure you have adequate equipment.

Registration
Max number of 8 including Laurence and I.

I will include the registered participants in a temporary Whatsapp group for the event so we can coordinate ahead of the hike (in case weather forecast changes for the worst and we have to cancel)
