The weather looks very good as of Monday but there is, as always, a slight risk of thunder storms. I reserve the right to cancel the event if the weather turns nasty on Friday.

There are two options: we can take the hike up to Herzogsstand and then continue on to Heimgarten, or we can get the Herzogsstandbahn up top and then just do Heimgarten. I am up for both but ultimately the group can decide on the day what they want to do.

------------------------------------------
WHEN / WHERE DO WE MEET?
------------------------------------------
Time: 7:35 am
We will take the train RB 59613 at 7:55 am so please be on time! (the platform has not been released yet so we will meet in front of the platform displayed on the signs).
Travel time is just over 1.5 hours. We will get the train to Kochel am See then the bus to Walchensee.

The hike ends back at the starting point and there is a bus back to Kochel am See. This bus only goes at 3.02 pm, 5:02 pm or 7:02 pm. I would like to aim for the 5:02 pm however there is a bus going the other direction to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and then a train going back to Munich, should we miss the 5:02 pm.

Good to know
