Hey Hiking Buddies.

Great views on two Mountain lakes.
Probably the last chance to do this hike before the snow captures the area.

Read the whole description please!
In case you cannot join the hike anymore, please drop out more than 12 hours before the start.

Meeting point:
Luftseilbahn (cable car) Tierfehd-Kalktrittli at 10:00
https://goo.gl/maps/TSH7HiGmvQSniKyw8

Car park nearby

In case we dont have a 2nd car i can drive back to Linthal Bahnhof and pick up someone there.

The route and approx schedule:
(Check departure times and place from each car in the car pool)

We meet at 10:00 am.

We take the cable car up.

I talked to the operators of the cable car today and they are still running on this weekend.

Return ticket for adults 15 chf
GA and Halb-Tax card are not valid.

More info: https://www.axpo.com/ch/de/private/axpo-erleben/pumpspeicherwerk-limmern.html

We start the hike at 10:20am from Luftseilbahn Tierfehd - Kalktrittli Bergstation.

From there we will walk up to Muttseehütte, around 1000 height meters.

Then do a circle with the view on Muttsee and then to Limmerensee, which is the beautiful picture in the hike description.

The hut Muttseehütte is also open and it is possible to buy food and drinks there, but i would like to do a picnic with the view on Limmerensee.

There we will also make the group picture.

The way back will be through a tunnel from Limmerensee to the cable car station.

There is light normally since there are also guided tours in the Pumpspeicherwerk, but if you have you can still bring a headlamp.

I will have one, so normally 1-2 lamps and phones should be enough just in case.

Right now there is no snow, but we are on 2500 meters, so bring good hiking boots.

Pace:
We will adjust to the pace of the group participants.

This hike requires you to have a good fitness level.

Limit of participants:
10

Hike Data:
14,3km
1’060m up/down
6:00 hours (without breaks)

Weather
Forecast looks very good, sunny day and just that bit of clouds that make pictures beautiful :).

If that changes we will still do another hike in the area.

Gear
Mandatory: Hiking boots (or trail running shoes) with a good grip, sun screen, headlamp, warm clothes, rain cover, at least 1,5L of water, and food for lunch and snacks along the way.
You always need a lamp (head or handheld) with you, even during day hikes.

Recommended: Sunglasses, cover for head (e.g. baseball cap), hiking poles.

See here an exhaustive check list of gear for single day hikes.

You can also borrow an Arc'teryx rain jacket for the hike (a very good one). If interested, answer Julien's comment below by mentioning your size (take into account that if you're usually M you might want S as Arc'Teryx sizing is a bit different).

Additional condition: Wear a Arc'Teryx jacket that I'll bring (it's a 600CHF one, I think it's not a burden!). One main goal is to have nice photos with Buddies wearing Arc'Teryx products. Goodie wise you'll have a choice between a beanie and a shirt. Also, if people in the waiting list have a Arc'Teryx jacket, we can open spots for you, but you wouldn't get any goodie.
