This is a relatively light hike and the weather looks good. It is suitable for beginners, please note the distance and elevation. We will be moving at a leisurely to moderate pace (no speed hiking or running) as some hikers are recovering. Decent fitness is required, you should be able to keep a normal pace. We will take the Bayern Ticket which I will purchase Sunday morning. If you are not present when the ticket is purchased, you will need to buy your own. The earlier we get on, the higher our chances of having seats together. Please bring enough food and water for the hike, there are huts which we may stop at, but be prepared not to. You must have appropriate gear and clothing. It may get cold, please wear/bring layers.

• hiking shoes
• food and water (at least 1.5 liter)
• mask for train
• warm clothing
• cash for train ticket (12-16 euros depending on total number) You must bring cash! Most huts also only accept cash
• good energy and decent fitness
• headlamp

Optional: hiking poles, mountain insurance
