+++Meeting point: Yorma's next to platform 11. On the way to platform 10 you will see a Yorma's store on the left side. Please be on time 🙏. It's a big group so it makes things way easier if everybody knows how to read the clock 😉. I changed the meeting time to 8:20am.

Easy hike. Let's enjoy a sunny & colourful autumn day :)


We will take the BRB RB54 at 8:43 from Munich main station to Flintsbach (arrival time there: 9:43) . The hike is roughly about 15 kilometers.  After about 2,5 hours we will pass by "Hohe Asten", where we can stop on our way back for some food.

From Hohe Asten it will take us about 50 minutes more to the top.


Some information:

*Meeting time: 8:20am ( to have some time to buy the train tickets)

*it's a family- friendly hike

*easy forest way up to the top

*it will be a relaxed hike (we will not run!)

*we will pass by the castle ruin "Falkenstein"

*trains are going back to Munich every hour.

*Some words about the time we probably need:

Arrival Flintsbach train station: 9:43am

Hohe Asten: 12:20pm

Top: 1pm

Back to Hohe Asten 2pm

Getting some food and drinks there until 3pm

Back at the train station 4:45 pm

Back in Munich 6:15pm



What you need:

*a smile

*hiking shoes

*water to drink

*cash for the drink/food


I'm not a mountain guide. You will go on your own risk.

I will get onto the train at Ostbahnhof (saves me some time, and bicycle parking is better there). So please include me in the Guten-Tag or Bayern-Tickets that you will buy at Hauptbahnhof. It would be very helpful, if you could write here, which train part you are sitting in.
