The hike

We start at 10am from the dam near Staumauer bus stop or the parking nearby and hike to Gross Aubrig (1692m)

The ascent of 800m lasts about 3 km - at slow pace we should be at the top around 11:30am and we can start the descent to find a spot for lunch. Bring your own lunch.

We will finish the hike where we started, with the option to swim in the lake Wagitalersee.

General information

Transportation

Laurence and I will be going by car we can pick-up 4 people in Berikon-Widen, AG - meeting time: 9:00am, or in Birmensdorf, ZH - meeting time: 9:10am.

Otherwise I have indicated how to come by train from Zurich HB.

Pace

This is a slow pace hike.

(Slow Pace means 300/350m ascent per hour ; 1km in 30min) 

Weather

Forecast is good - so take your sun scream, sunglasses and sunhat. But also take some rain protection in case the weather change.

You Must Have

Proper hiking boots with a good grip, headlamp, warm clothes, rain protection / sun screen, at least 1,5L of water, and food for lunch and snacks along the way.

Registration

Max number of 8 including Laurence and I.

I will include the registered participants in a temporary Whatsapp group for the event so we can coordinate ahead of the hike (in case weather forecast changes for the worst and we have to cancel)
