The hike to the Kramerspitz offers amazing views over the Zugspitze and Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It is not technically difficult but presents some exposed and stony parts. Surefootedness and no fear of heights are required for this tour. This is especially true in this season, as a few cm of snow may be on the way. Please consider carefully your fitness and technical level before joining.
Detailed description here: https://www.bergtour-online.de/bergtouren/bergwanderungen/schwer/kramerspitze/
There might be a few cm of snow on the way, please bring your crampons (Grödel) for safety.
Disclaimer: I am not a mountain guide. Everyone is responsible for their own safety.
We will meet at 6:40 am in front of Gl. 26-37 in München Hbf. We will buy a Bayern-Ticket to Garmisch (train until Murnau plus replacement bus) and we will start hiking around 8:40 am. I expect the hike to take around 7:30 hours, including breaks. We will take either the 16:35, 17:25 or 17:38 pm bus back to Murnau and from there a train to Munich.
Please bring:
- Enough food and water for the whole day (the Stepbergalm is already closed for the season).
- Crampons (Grödel), gaiters and warm clothing (the temperature in the valley will be of 2-12°C, it will be colder on the top).
- Headlight in case we take more time than forecasted (sunset is at 16:51 pm).
- Good hiking shoes.
- An FPP2 mask for public transport.
- Enough cash for the Bayern-Ticket (ca. 12 euro per person). Also possible to use PayPal.
- The rest you should know.
