<p>„Dem Himmel so nah“ is the motto of the Ettal brewery, but it applies equally to the summit on the other side of the road, Notkarspitze. There are views over the Ammergauer, Wetterstein and Estergebirge, and there’s apparently a high chance of seeing chamois (<i>Gämsen</i>).<br></p><p class="heading">Kit list</p>

We will buy group tickets for everyone at the meeting point on time, please contact me if you are running late and would still like a ticket.<br></p><p>Outbound: München Hbf 08:03 –(RE 61)– 08:50 Murnau 09:00 –(SEV)– 09:30 Oberau 09:55 –(Bus 9606 to Füssen)– 10:05 Klostergasthof, Ettal</p><p>Return: one of:<br></p><ul><li>Farchant approx xx:47 via Murnau to Munich, taking 1h40.</li><li>Farchant 17:10/18:08/19:10 via Garmisch and Murnau, taking 1h50.<br></li></ul><p class="heading">Weather</p><p>It should be dry but windy and cold, bring warm layers! There could be snow underfoot, which is why spikes are recommended.<br></p><p class="heading">Safety</p><p>Please observe all laws and guidelines for preventing the spread of coronavirus. I have created this event in order to find other people keen on walking in the mountains, but I am not a guide, and each member is responsible for their own safety.
