Hey hiking buddies :)
Here's a plan for The Geierstein (1491m).
The weather looks better on Sunday- 27th Nov for this week, let's start
with the train at 08.03 from Hauptbahnhof.
We will be meeting nearby platform 33, and we
will buy our group ticket, but unfortunately, if you are too late you need to
buy your ticket so kindly be punctual!
We have our quick know-each-other time and
find our seats together.
You can unjoin the latest 12 hours before the
event. Anyone not coming and not communicating will get a no-show.
The route is a moderate one, you need to have
appropriate fitness to cover the distance of 12 km (Highest Point 1459m, and
total gain altitude gain 907) in a max of 4.30/5 hours.
(Way back to Munich: 15.17 / 15.47 / 16.17)
Things to Bring: -
Optional:
[The Geierstein (1491m) near
Lenggries impress with a particularly beautiful ascent with a particularly
beautiful view of the Isar valley and the foothills of the Alps around Bad
Tölz. The ascent is
partly steep so not very beginner friendly rough and slippery and unpleasant in wet weather. In the catchment area of the
Lenggrieser Hütte, the Geierstein is rarely visited, quite the opposite to its
neighbours Fockenstein (near Aueralm ) and Seekarkreuz. The descent begins with a beautiful but
short ridge hike and leads first to gentle pastures, later a soft and beautiful
forest path (Maximiliansweg) back to the valley]
Type: Moderate Mountain hike
The return route we choose will be a bit different and we directly come to the Train station Lenggries Bahnhof
Same as this : https://www.hiking-buddies.com/routes/routes_list/2671/
We will move with a
medium pace of 400-450hm. we might eat something in the hut (I'll check if it's
open) or at the end, but please have enough food with you for a day. I will be
reachable in case needed at +49-15171947527.
