Hi hikers,


Rigi crossing on the first Saturday of December with an optional post-hike Christmas market visiting in Luzern.


Hike start: 08.45 Arth-Goldau

Route: Arth-Goldau - Rigi- Küssnacht am Rigi (- Luzern)


How to get there by public transport:

Train (IR 46 to Locarno) departs at 08:05 from HB, platform 7. Meeting point: At the platform, 07:57, first 2nd class car (acc to direction of travel) after to the locomotive.

Journey: ZH HB - Arth-Goldau 

Back: Küssnacht am Rigi - ZH HB


Meeting point with those, who come by car: Arth-Goldau train station, 08.45


We will have our lunch break at the top and several mini-breaks on the viewing points.


After the hike: Visiting the Christmas market in Luzern (optional)


What is necessary: Hiking boots, optional poles, enough food and water, proper clothes acc. to the weather, optional headlamp, good mood and fitness.


Please be aware that it will be cold and snow on the top, choose your hiking clothes accordingly (several layers, warm clothes, gloves etc). You can check the weather forecast here:

Dear Botond, For the WhatsApp message, I want to click thumb, but I was wrong that clicked on “Report to Admin” button, I am so sorry about that. This is my first time use this App, I just want to try join the car, and then cancel, but it showed less than 12 hours to starting time I cannot cancel. I don’t know how to do that. Should I get some punishments?
