Hi hikers,

Sattel - Hochstuckli – Engelstock winter hike on the 3rd Sunday of Advent with an optional post-hike visit in Zug.

Hike start: 09:00 Sattel-Aegeri

Route: Sattel - Hochstuckli - Engelstock - Sattel 

How to get there by public transport:

Train (IR 46 to Locarno) departs at 08:05 from HB, platform 6. Meeting point: At the platform, 07:55, first 2nd class car acc to direction of travel.

Journey:

Outward: ZH HB - Sattel-Aegeri

Return: Sattel-Aegeri (- Zug) - ZH HB

Meeting point with those, who come by car: Sattel-Aegeri train station, 09:00

We will have our lunch break at the top and several mini-breaks on the viewing points.

After the hike: Short sighsteeing in Zug (optional).

What is necessary: Hiking boots, optional poles, enough food and water, proper clothes acc. to the weather, good mood and fitness.

Please be aware that it will be cold and snow, choose your hiking clothes accordingly (proper shoes, several layers, warm clothes, gloves etc). You can check the weather forecast here:
