There shouldn't be anything difficult on this hike. Just the last part up to Wendelsteinhaus through the "Zeller Scharte" is a bit steep and might be icy, but that's short and you can walk at the side of the path in some deeper snow to avoid slipping.
My plan is that going up to the Wendelstein summit is optional and the rest can take some more rest at Wendelsteinhaus. Depending on weather and trail conditions we can shorten the hike, by going down to Bayrischzell from Wendelsteinhaus. There appear to be 2 other open huts on the way from Brannenburg, so we should discuss hut plans on the train :D.
Since we will arrive quite early to start the hike we shouldn't have to rush anything. Depending on trail conditions we might take the same way up and down, but I hope to at least take a trail around the other side of Soinwand when going down.
The plan is to take the M 79059 train at 7:52 from Ostbahnhof, and arrive in Brannenburg at 8:39.
The trains back to munich from Brannenburg leave at 16:19, 17:19, 18:19, etc. My plan is to reach the 18:19 train, but please don't plan anything important in Munich for the evening :).
What to bring:
Good to have equipment
Cost per person
Please take enough food and drinks (at least 2l water recommended) with you for a whole day, in case we can't stop at any hut.
Note: Please unjoin the event asap if you can't participate anymore. You can't drop out less than 12 hrs before the event starts! If you happen to be sick and have to cancel beyond those 12 hours, please drop me a message or leave a comment.
