Sponsored by Arc'Teryx - What does it mean?

• Arc'Teryx will cover the transportation cost for the drivers. If you're a driver, please do not charge anything to the passengers.
• Each participant will receive one goodie (depends on available stock, can be gloves, shirt, cap, ...). Please wear your goodie during the hike for the photos (except if it's a shirt in  Winter!).
• In Winter times, participants will use a jacket (like that one) provided for the occasion, for the photos. You can also keep the jacket for free for one month. Not everyone will get one (depends on stock / sizes).

Participation criteria:

• Before Thursday 19th January, 1 pm: You can join if you have at least one hike in your Hiking Buddies profile, and no "No Show".
• After Thursday 19th January, 1 pm: Everyone else can join.

Participants not meeting with these criteria will be removed permanently from the event without notice.

General information

Weather: Cloudy.

Route: T2, with a lot of snow. Snowshoes mandatory (can be rented at the parking, see below). From Mägisalp we will sledge down to Bidmi (details). Sledge to be rented at Mägisalp for 12 CHF. Bring cash.

Transportation: If by car, fuel is covered by Arc'Teryx (refund for drivers will take 1 to 2 months). You're free to join by public transports if the starting point allows it.

Schedule (approx.)

• 08h00:  We meet  at the parking of Hasliberg Twing Cable Car. The snowshoe rental store is right there too (Fahner Sport AG Twing, 6084 Hasliberg, Switzerland). We will take 30 minutes to sort out snowshoes rental & goodies.
• 08h30: Start
• 18h00: End

Do not plan anything right after a hike as we might come back much later than expected if something unexpected happens.

Gear

Mandatory: Hiking boots (or trail running shoes) with a good grip, sun screen, hiking poles, snowshoes (rental at the starting point), warm clothes

You always need a lamp (head or handheld) with you, even during day hikes. Your phone is not a lamp.

How to join this event

• You're a driver? Add your car to the carpool (max 3 cars allowed).
• You're not a driver? Join a car (click on Carpool button > Join car), or join via public transports (Carpool button > Add a car with no passenger as a workaround)
