Description
This will be a relatively relaxed hike, due to wet trail conditions, and the significant possibility of rain. I chose the location for the hike, to avoid the high thunderstorm risk predicted in some other regions.
The plan is to take the RB 5411 train at 7:32 from platform 29 to Ohlstadt. We should arrive in Ohlstadt at 8:33, and we'll start the hike from the train station.
Possible trains back to Munich leave at 15:26,16:25,17:25,18:25.
With a relaxed hiking speed I'm expecting us to reach the 16:25 train back (assuming the suggested duration of 6:30 hours for the hike, plus plenty of legroom).
There is no hut on the way, so please pack enough food and drinks (ca. 2l recommended) for a whole day.
We will use the Werdenfels Ticket to travel by train, which will cost between 10 and 12 Euro per person.
