The Hike


We start in the Regionalschiessanlage Ägerital, Boden 2, 6314 Unterägi
We go towards the Alpwirtschaft Brunegg, and then take a left and go uphill to the Hochwacht with view of the Zugersee.
We walk the ridge, pass the Zugerberg and then Hünggigütsch (1'039m).
And then close the loop back to the Regionalschiessanlage Ägerital.

General information


Pictures
I will take pictures during the hike and will publish them in the group on Facebook. If you dont want to appear, please let me know at the start of the hike.



Transportation


Laurence and I will be going by car we can pick-up 4 people, either in Berikon-Widen at 8:00am, or in Birmensdorf, ZH - meeting time: 8:10am.

Otherwise I have indicated how to come by train from Zurich HB to Unterägeri Zimmel.
Once in Zimmel, we will pick you up with the car as the departure point is 1.6km away and there are no bus service.



Pace


This is a slow pace hike. Some people will come with dogs.
(Slow Pace means 300/350m ascent per hour ; 1km ascent in 30min) 


Food
Warm drinks in isotherm bottle might be a good idea as it will be sub-zero with snow.
Snacks for the road - no lunch as we will be finished by 12noon.



Weather


Forecast for now is some sun with clouds…
Temperatures around -4 degrees.
 So make sure you take extra layers, as well as gloves and hat.
The path might be muddy at times, you might want to have poles.

You Must Have


Proper hiking boots with a good grip, headlamp, warm clothes, rain protection / sun screen, at least 1,5L of water, and food for snacks along the way.
