Baden - Lägerngrat - Hochwacht - Regensberg - Dielsdorf and back
Hike with beautiful vantage points, rich flora and lots of forest; little hard surface at the beginning and at the end
Between Schartenfels and Lägerngrat, an airy ridge path surprises. Its inspection requires some caution and good shoes. When wet, the Jura limestone is extremely slippery!
If you are not sure-footed or want to avoid the tricky ridge section, you can bypass it on a forest road.
The hike is part of the European long-distance hiking trail E 4 and the Jura high-altitude trail no. 5
Meeting point:
We will meet at Baden HB at around 9-9:15AM.
Hike:
I have not done this one before, but will gather information on the route and update here.
The hike will be about 5-6hours long, a bit exposed on some lengths but in general accessible and fun to do on a sunny day.
The pace of the hike will be moderate with enough time to admire the landscape.
Equipment:
The way up has some steep areas, where good shoes are required.
I recommend hiking poles, but it is your choice of course.
Ask if you are not sure.
Application:
As always there is the possibility to come by car.
Join the car pool and either create a car yourself or have a look who can take you there.
For those who come by public transport please create a "car" in the carpool with as many seats as possible and use "public transport" as a description. That way others can join that one and we keep a good overview.
Standard Disclaimer:
I am not a mountain guide.
Please be aware that you join at your own risk.
