There is a good chance that at some point during the hike it will rain (not very strong though), so depending on your water dissolubility please bring appropriate rainproof clothes. 

Public transport: We take the RE4871 departing at 7:13 am. We will arrive at Garmisch Partenkirchen at 8:24 am, from where we take bus no 2 (departing at 8:40 am) to ski stadium, which will arrive there at 8:53 am. This is the start and end point of our hike.

Departure time of return connection: 17:09 (1h47m), 17:39 (1h38m), 18:39 (1h47m), 19:14 (1h33m)

Technical difficulty: The hike has difficulty T3, and the last part is steep. Please read the blog to understand the requirements for sac scale T3. Due to snow, the route will feel more exhausting.

Depending on group's interest and the number of people at klamm, we may take or skip traversing the Partenkirchenklamm. Please note that klamm traversal requires a ticket (5 Euro per person)

The hut is closed, so please bring enough food/drink for the whole day to avoid starvation/dehydration.

Things to bring:

• Waterproof hiking boots
• Cash for the ticket (11 - 16 Euro), and (possibly) for the food at the hut
• Food/drinks for the way
• Warm clothes
• Gaiters (required)
• Spikes (highly recommended)
• Headlight (just in case)
• Some tolerance for cloudy and rainy weather

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event, when it is starting in less than 12 hours.
