This hike will be nicely challenging for beginners and relaxed for experienced hikers with 5-6 hours and rd. 600m elevation

Details

• We start at Fischhausen-Neuhaus train station at 9:40 (a train BRB RB55 leaves from Munich Hbf in direction of Bayrischzell, platform 34 at 8:30) - I will take the train, but join at Holzkirchen. I'll send a whatsup group invite to the participants to arrange the tickets.
• It will take us 1-2 hours to hike up the ridge (see the picture of the route).
• From there we descend towards Tegernsee lake/town for another 2-3 hours (we are not in a hurry;).
• I am pretty sure we'll find a cosy alm on the way to have a nice lunch, but please bring snacks and water

Some strong recommendations ;)

• It’s a challenging day requiring strong physical fitness, cheerful attitude to obstacles and having fun in the nature.
• Good hiking boots with a good rubber profile, are extremely helpful as it can get wet and slippery.
• Dressing in layers, so that you can take a layer (e.g. a pullover) on/off is also recommended as getting up a mountain is always warm, but up there and getting down often gets chilly.
• Given the elevation, I recommend bringing hiking poles;)
• A good breakfast makes your experience particularly nice;) but don't forget some snacks and water to keep you supplied until we reach an alm.
