Starting point: Paradiso train station. For people taking public transport, we’ll meet at Zurich HB shortly before the train departure.
How to get there: Train (IR 46, direction Locarno) departs at 08:05 from Zurich HB, platform 5. Change in Arth-Goldau to train IC 21, direction Lugano; and then in Lugano to train RE, direction Milano Centrale. It arrives in Paradiso at 10:05.
How to get back: If we’re lucky with the timing, we can take a boat on the lake Lugano for the way back from Morcote. If we’re not lucky, we’ll take a bus (or two) back to Lugano.
Weather forecast: The current forecast for Saturday in Lugano is 15 degrees with sun and some clouds. There should be no snow on the trail.
