Description

I will start from Dachau at 8:00 by car.

Can pick up max. 4 persons for example at Donnersbergerbrücke at 8:30.

Can increase max. participants if there are more cars.

The plan is to start the ascent from the Hörnlebahn parking at 9:30.

I have to be back in Munich at 17:00 at the latest, but plan to be back at 16:30.

With an estimated hiking (moving) time of around 4 hours this leaves more than enough room (in total ~ 2 hours) for breaks.

Planned breaks:

- Of course some photo stops along the way and on the peaks

- Hörnlehütte during the descent

- Possibly Guggenberg-Alm (it is near the parking space) after the descent (only if there is time.)

- Alternatively, possibly a quick stop for an ice bath (not mandatory) at Staffelsee on the return trip (only if there is time.)

Here is a variation of the route, that has better description and was the inspiration for this event:

https://www.hiking-buddies.com/routes/routes_list/4059/

We might deviate from the original route on the way down using the "Sommerweg", depending on the conditions.

Good to know

Please be on time for pickup and get in contact, if you want to join my car. Wait for a bright blue BMW 1 with plate number M-C xxxx.
