Description
NOTE: JOINING THIS HIKE MEANS YOU ARE COMMITTING YOURSELF TO BEING THERE! Please do not block places in the list and that you are sure you will go.
2 day tour in the Ammergauer Alpen (Route displayed is incorrect):
- first day: Oberammergau to August-Schuster-Haus via Kofel, 1000m and 11km
- second day: August-Schuster-Haus to Kenzenhütte (take bus to parkplatz in Halblech), 1100m up/1300 down and 15km
- overnight hut stay in shared bedroom (mehrbettzimmer) reserved
- Not a beginner hike; required to have minimum 3 T3 hikes done with positive feedback.
- Will hike together as a group with a normal hiking pace, not fast. In case you have concerns on pace, please contact me.
Good to know
- Please message me with your cell phone number so I can create a WhatApp group.
- Please inform yourself regarding individual hut requirements/rules.
- Additional items to bring: DAV card, mummy sack, house shoes, snacks, rain gear, enough cash for travel tickets and hut costs.
- Every hiker must have their own means of navigation using map (paper or digital).
- As this is a hike that requires more planning due to the overnight hut stay, please do not select to join the hike unless you are confident you are able to join, and please give notice in far advace in case you must cancel (2 weeks or earlier please).
Travel:
- Saturday 20-May: Take the train from Munich HBF=>Oberammergau (tickets can be split for those who do not have the 49eur ticket)
- Sunday 21-May: Kenzenhütte Bus => Füssen => train to Münich
IMPORTANT: I am not a professional guide. Participants are responsible for themselves, must do their own research about the route, and must be able to navigate by themselves (in case the groups split for some reason, for example).
If you have had a NO SHOW in the last year, do not join the hike.
