The ramble from Quinten to Walenstadt beneath the mighty Churfisten mountains commands magnificent views of the Walensee. As the route follows the southern slopes, it is also very popular during the colder seasons.

Starting point: Murg Ost (See) - from there we'll take a boat to Quinten. The boat departs at 10:43, and arrives in Quinten at 11:00. For people taking public transport, we’ll meet at Zurich HB shortly before the train departure.
How to get there: Train (S 25, direction Linthal) departs at 09:43 from Zurich HB, platform 6. Change in Ziegelbrücke to train S 4, direction Sargans.
How to get back: Train/trains from Walenstadt.
What to take: Some cash, in case it's needed for the boat ride (it costs 8.40 CHF); regular hiking equipment, in particular comfortable shoes (hiking boots or trail running shoes); food - we’ll have picnic lunch; water; sunscreen; sunglasses.
