Hello, fellow hikers in Switzerland!
Tour details:
For mother's day, a medium* but long hiking tour is planned (*actually T2, occasionally T3). Feel free to join our group hike to the impressive 'Wasserflue' near 'Aarau'. Please see the route details for more information. Hiking duration is estimated ~ 6 h, without stops or breaks! We will take enough stops/rest as necessary and a do lunch picknick at 'Salhöhe', so it will be a full day's tour.
Alternatives:
Beginners who wish to have a shorter route can either do the first half from 'Wittnau' to 'Sa(a)lhöhe' with us (9-12 o'clock), or join in at 'Salhöhe' for the second leg of the tour going to 'Wasserflue' and then down to 'Aarau' (12-15 o'clock).

Disclaimer:
Everybody is responsible for his own safety and the right equipment. I am not a professional mountain guide, only a hobby hiker with experience leading a tour. Hence I still will send people home, if I find their appearance and/or behavior unsafe.

Arrival/Meeting up:
We will take the bus going to 'Aarau' at 9:05 o'clock from 'Frick', curb C. Arrival time will be 9:12 o'clock in 'Wittnau Mitteldorf' = starting point of the tour. - So please be in Frick on time or meet me on the train from Zurich to Basel, if you join in from Zurich!
Essentials to bring/wear:
Best to bring hiking poles for the steep paths, enough supplies (water, food) for the day and a rain jacket. Also it is recommended to wear lightweight hiking shoes/boots, instead of sport shoes.
Important note:
This time we have to keep a certain moderate but 'sportive' pace during the tour. Especially for the beginning of the hike. Only this way we can assure to be on time for the lunch break, the people joining the second leg and the likely afternoon rain. I plan to reach 'Wasserflue' before the rain showers and to reach 'Aarau' before the evening.
